Your Hosts - Julie and Darren
Julie and Darren worked in the media industry in the UK and Auckland before travelling around the world and settling back in New Zealand. They came from Somerset and have been in New Zealand for 14 years, and have an extensive knowledge of the country.
They are now using their experiences from around the globe to create a peaceful haven for visitors to enjoy.
They both have good local knowledge of the native birds, bush walks, artists, beaches and restaurants, and can help you access hidden gems and locations off the beaten track.
Julie and Darren love meeting new people and are happy to share their knowledge of this wonderful country with you. They aim to make your stay as relaxing, or as active, as you need.
The private and peaceful setting of this accommodation – with stunning sea views and bush to explore – is the reason they fell in love with this place.

We had a wonderful weekend staying at Julie’s home in Coromandel. The place is set in a beautiful location with views of the water and is extremely quiet and clean. We were travelling with an infant and it was nice to have a cot set up for us upon arrival and some toys for her to play with . I would definitely stay here again and recommend it for families or anyone needing a quiet place in nature to stay and relax.

This is an absolute gem. The owners are friendly and thoughtful. Quiet spot where you can relax…..and if you lucky get some freshly laid eggs. The accommodation is neat, clean and spacious. The owners engage in nice friendly conversation and always have a tip or two about where to go visit. I almost didn’t want to write a review so I can keep this to myself……lol.

We had a great stay here! The new owners were brilliant and really welcoming. The studio was very clean and fully equipped with everything we needed. The views are beautiful too! Would thoroughly recommend staying here when visiting Coromandel.
